I don't know if everyone has heard of LED floodlights, as many people are unfamiliar with LED floodlights. But if you pay attention to factories or stadiums, LED floodlights are still very common. Nowadays, many factories and enterprises use LED floodlights for their lighting. So, why do factories and enterprises choose LED floodlights? What is a LED floodlight? What are its advantages? Let's take a look together!
What is a LED floodlight?
LED floodlights are a point light source that can illuminate evenly in all directions, and their illumination range can be adjusted arbitrarily, appearing as an octahedral icon in the scene. Omni lights are the most widely used light source in renderings, and standard omni lights are used to illuminate the entire scene. Multiple omni lights can be used in the scene. In order to achieve better results, the light bulb is installed in a large reflective umbrella as a high brightness light source during shooting. Although it is indispensable for indoor lighting in the shed, it can also be considered one of the good lighting sources for general amateur indoor photography.
What are the classifications of LED floodlights?
LED floodlights refer to the LED lighting fixtures used in production work in factories and other venues. If LED floodlights are classified according to their lighting functions, they can be divided into two types: general lighting and local lighting.
Ordinary lighting usually refers to LED floodlights installed evenly above the workplace or on the side walls to ensure that their light can shine on the workers' work area.
Local lighting refers to the key lighting of LED floodlights for a certain part of the workplace. This lighting method can enhance the lighting effect for a certain workplace on the basis of general lighting.
What are the advantages of LED floodlights?
LED floodlights have low power consumption, high color rendering index, strong seismic resistance, long service life, and are environmentally friendly. They are an excellent choice for industrial factories, gas stations, and other places. At the same time, they are also lamps with high safety.
LED floodlights have high stability, with a lifespan of up to 25000 to 50000 hours, which is more than 10 times longer than traditional light sources; Green, environmentally friendly, pollution-free, and heat radiation-free, with no harm to eyes and skin; Good color rendering and more realistic presentation of the actual color.
From the detailed introduction above, do we realize that we can not only see LED floodlights in factories, but also see some outdoor basketball courts, landscape gardens, courtyards, and other outdoor venues using LED floodlights? However, it should be noted that LED floodlights should not be designed to be used too much, as this will appear dull and dull in the visual effect of the venue, Pay more attention to experiencing the lighting parameters and their impact on the overall scene lighting sensation during use.
Omni lights are the most widely used light source in renderings, and standard omni lights are used to illuminate the entire scene. Used for parking lots, billboards, sports fields (football fields, tennis courts, etc.), external lighting of buildings, amusement parks, airports, bridges, tunnels, etc
Due to the green, environmentally friendly, energy-saving, diverse color temperatures, and ultra-long service life of LED floodlights, they do not have high requirements for the operating environment. They can be used indoors, outdoors, or in large public places. Therefore, professional LED floodlights are highly praised and loved by users in various industries. However, due to the special nature of floodlight materials and technology, floodlights are currently mainly suitable for the following three major application scenarios:
What are the main application scenarios of LED floodlights?
1. Lighting of various buildings
Due to the long service life and intelligent control of LED floodlights, they can be used for the exterior lighting of some large buildings. Some users also use these colorful and artistic lighting lights to enhance the night effect of scenic spots. In addition, for some public landmark buildings, LED floodlights can also be used for lighting design to better highlight the characteristics of the city.
2. Indoor lighting
LED projection lights are also very suitable for indoor lighting and decoration. Due to their soft color scheme, many users use them in indoor lighting design. By using LED projection lights, the entire space looks more interesting and meaningful. Some users also consider the cost of lamp tubes. In order to effectively reduce the replacement rate of lamp tubes, they will use longer lifespan daylights instead of ordinary lighting facilities.
3. Commercial lighting
LED floodlights have various dynamic lighting effects, so they are widely used in various stages, performances, and entertainment venues. Due to the fact that LED projection lights can intelligently control color changes and light brightness through digitization, both static and dynamic lighting effects can be perfectly presented, providing excellent lighting effects for various commercial lighting.
At present, popular LED floodlights are suitable for scenarios other than lighting in large buildings, public facilities, as well as indoor and commercial areas. LED floodlights are easy to install and operate, and can also be applied in some outdoor large electronic screen industries. These devices can effectively improve screen brightness and color resolution. With the continuous improvement of research and development technology for LED floodlights, their applicability will also become more widespread.
What are the technical requirements for floodlighting?
1. Incidence angle
It is the shadows that protrude the undulations of the facade, so lighting should always provide surface imaging. Light directed at the facade at a direct angle will not form shadows and make the surface appear flat. The size of the shadow depends on the surface undulation and the angle of incidence of the light. The average lighting direction angle should be 45 °. If the fluctuation is minimal, this angle should be greater than 45 °.
2. Lighting direction
In order to make the surface lighting appear balanced, all shadows should be cast in the same direction, and all lighting fixtures that provide illumination for surfaces in a projection area should have the same projection direction. For example, if two lamps aim symmetrically in the vertical direction of a certain surface, shadows will decrease and confusion may occur. Therefore, it may not be possible to see the surface undulations clearly. However, large protrusions can generate large dense shadows. To avoid damaging the integrity of the facade, it is recommended to provide weaker lighting at an angle of 90 ° to the main lighting to weaken the shadows.
3. Perspective
In order to see shadows and surface undulations clearly, the lighting direction should be different from the observation direction, and the angle between these two directions should be at least 45 °. However, for monuments that can be seen from several places, it is not possible to strictly follow this rule, and the main observation point should be selected, with this observation direction given priority in lighting design.
So floodlights are commonly used as lighting fixtures in floodlighting.
