Installation Instructions

 

To install a high mast light, the following steps and precautions should be taken:

1.Choose the right installation location: The high mast light should be installed above the area that needs illumination, taking into account factors such as the light projection range and surrounding environment. Also, the foundation conditions and nearby structures should be considered for potential impact.

2.Prepare equipment and tools: Confirm the type and quantity of high mast lights needed and prepare the necessary tools and equipment, such as cranes, welding machines, bolts, and angle irons.

3.Install the foundation: Select a suitable reinforced concrete foundation based on the size and weight of the high mast light and install an iron plate "socket" on the foundation for later installation of the high mast light.

4.Install the high mast light: Connect the base of the high mast light to the socket and secure it with bolts. Then, use a crane to lift the high mast light onto the socket and secure it with bolts.

5.Connect the power supply: Connect the cable of the high mast light to the power line and ensure the wiring is correct, secure, and well-insulated.

6.Test and adjust: After installation, test and adjust the high mast light to ensure it operates normally and has even light distribution.

Application

The high mast light is an area lighting system whose height is raised to minimize ground obstacles and produce uniform lighting over a large area.  The high mast lighting system throws controlled light from above 15 meters (usually 18 m-55 m), which is an extension of the public lighting infrastructure, and can provide area and road lighting at pedestrian, city or vehicle scale from below or from above The combination of a 15-meter installation height and multiple luminaire configurations makes high mast lighting the most effective way to illuminate a large area.  High mast lights are also the heaviest lighting system, and must have the strength and resistance needed to survive the most challenging outdoor environments.

 

The main purpose of high mast lighting is to provide an extended lighting range while minimizing the possible shadows that may occur when using short masts.  The expanded light distribution of a single luminaire allows large areas to be illuminated with a minimum of poles.  A wider pitch means less visual clutter and improved visibility.  Low pole density creates fewer physical obstacles and therefore improves safety.  The increased installation height allows the use of high-power lamps to achieve further illumination, so the high poles can be placed far away from traffic areas and high activity spaces.  This leads to reduced design conflicts with other elements and allows more efficient use of space in the illuminated area.  Using high mast light poles co-located with other high mast equipment (such as surveillance cameras and cellular antennas) can reduce the number of tall buildings required in an area.

The ability to provide large-area lighting with the largest pole pitch makes tall mast lighting suitable for a variety of applications.  In other words, high mast lighting is an extremely versatile outdoor lighting solution because it can provide accurate and comfortable visibility to large outdoor areas at night and expand the availability of large outdoor facilities to night.  Among various types of outdoor lighting infrastructure, far-field, large-area high-mast lighting plays a unique role in promoting night travel and transportation, citizen participation in social gatherings and sports/entertainment activities, all-weather industrial production, safety and guidance.  The safety of transportation, commercial, residential and public facilities and properties.
